BLUE MOON Cramp & Ache Balm

$24.00 USD

Bring the healing power of warmth to conditions marked by cold stagnation like period cramps, stomach aches, sore muscles, arthritic joints, and cold hands & feet.

A blend of all Hawai'i grown, hot-natured & moving herbs like Ginger, Kava & Turmeric boost local circulation, warm the tissues and relieve pain. The center of each balm features a ‘blue moon’ of soothing Blue Chamomile essential oil.

Massage on to abdomen, low back, sore muscles, achey joints and cold hands & feet as needed. As you create friction while applying the balm, you'll feel a gentle sense of heat being generated from the warming herbs. To augment this effect, cover the afflicted area with a hot pouch or heating blanket.

To help relieve cramping or stomach aches, make small gentle circles in a clockwise spiral outwards from your belly button and give extra love to tender spots.

Due to the inclusion of Mugwort, Blue Moon Balm is not recommended while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Available in 0.75 oz glass jar with metal lid. Please repurpose or recycle your vessel after you've enjoyed every last bit. Our labels are printed on 100% recycled paper.

Great for Carpal Tunnel

I don't use this for cramps, but I love it for my carpal tunnel and osteoarthritis knees. A little goes a long way!

Smells so good and feels so comforting, like a warm soothing hug for cramps and bloating. A total relief! I appreciate the care and love put in to crafting this amazing balm.

Warming aspect is so nice!

I keep this ache balm in my hiking backpack and by my bed.

It's perfect for achy hiking knees and other small injuries while on the trail.

I also use it for random aches and period cramps that can sometimes keep me awake at night. The warming aspect to this balm is so nice!

Monthly life saver

This salve is an irreplaceable part of my medicine chest! I slather it on liberally during my time of month and am comforted first by the scent followed shortly there after by the magic of its carefully chosen ingredients. I feel the love and care put into Indigo Elixir makes a difference! Thanks for helping a girl out!

Lovely ~

After being intrigued by this item and the idea of having mugwort in balm form, I decided to take the plunge and try it. The item arrived in a timely manner after being ordered online and was well packaged; I appreciate the thoughtful touches and the effort that went into making sure the balm arrived safely and in an eco-friendly fashion. Deanna has certainly given thought to every aspect of her business and her products. The item itself is both compact and portable in an adorable tin with a lovely stylized label, making it easy to throw into the bag and take along for travel in style. So far, I've used it on myself for both menstrual-related and general abdominal bloating and cramps. I've found the warmth to be very gentle, but it works! The texture is a bit on the thick and greasy side, and while the smell isn't overpowering, there is a lingering scent if your clothes come into contact with the area that the balm was placed and rubbed into. I used a small spatula (not included) to get the desired amount I wanted, as opposed to using my fingers, which weren't able to pick up as much material. Overall, I would recommend it to be a good addition to the natural belly warming arsenal, especially if you're not set up to burn moxa due to smoke! That being said, I wonder if doing moxibustion on the area in addition to having applied the balm beforehand would also help to further augment its effect?
