With a focus on sourcing as many ingredients as locally as possible, we work with a variety of farmers & growers across the Hawaiian Islands to engage in Direct Trade for our botanical materials. Below are a few of the producers whose ingredients are indispensable to our formulations.

Mānoa Valley, Honolulu, Hawai'i

Tucked into the back of Honolulu's lush Mānoa Valley, we grow a plethora of medicinal & aromatic botanicals steps away from our production studio in our backyard garden. Turmeric, Roses, Comfrey, Mugwort, Pikake, Night Blooming Jasmine, Violet, Makrut Lime, Lemongrass & Cacao are just a handful of the many plants growing on our tiny parcel of land.

All of our flora is nourished exclusively by the Hawaiian sun, abundant rain showers, and compost we produce in-house by vermicasting our natural food waste. We do not use pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals of any kind.

Waialua, O'ahu, Hawai'i

Farm Link Hawai'i is an innovative O'ahu-based online marketplace that connects local farmers & growers directly with consumers. Their mission is to "to build a thriving, equitable food system in Hawai‘i by empowering local farmers and improving access to local foods."

We purchase many of our ingredients (and groceries) from Farm Link, and have been huge fans since the beginning. Their marketplace also serves as an endless source of inspiration by showcasing what unique botanicals are available within our island community!

Founded by a GoFarm alumni, they also lease land and share resources with graduates of the program to help them launch their farming businesses. Farm of the Fearless Monkey's goal is "to serve as a model for small-scale, family-owned agricultural production potential on Oahu."

The Kokua Learning Farm is a verdant oasis nestled behind the Kokua General Store in Haleiwa. In addition to producing produce & herbs, they've cultivated a native wetland to filter runoff, Native Hawaiian plant garden, Lo'i (taro) patch, fruit orchard & aerobic composting system.

Both the Learning Farm & General Store are a part of the Kōkua Hawai'i Foundation, a nonprofit founded in 2003 by Kim & Jack Johnson to supports environmental education for Hawaii's schools & communities. Through various programs they aim to promote "local & healthy food awareness, production & consumption; to empower viable waste reduction & foster 'āina & place-based respect, understanding & practice."

La'ie, O'ahu, Hawai'i

La'ie Vanilla is a family business producing beautifully aromatic Vanilla beans here on O'ahu. Because the natural pollinators for the Vanilla orchid are not present on the Hawaiian Islands, each flower is hand pollinated to produce fruit. The beans require a careful drying & curing process to reveal their highly coveted flavor & aroma.

We incorporate freshly dried beans by slicing the pods to release the tiny, sweet scented speckles of Vanilla and infuse them into various sweetly scented formulations.
