Dive into the world of coveted plant extracts and discover how they interact with our bodies, through both a physiological/herbalism & emotional/aromatherapy lens. We'll explore a vast collection of over 30 botanical scents from the herbalist's personal collection of essential oils, resins & absolutes.

CLASS DETAILS

All materials will be provided to make a 5ml roller of an oil blend that can be used as a perfume, beauty oil or topical medicinal.

We will be working exclusively with pure plant extracts; our collection of both beloved & rare aromatics provide a vast range to suit everyone's personal tastes.

We'll also discuss different types of aromatic extraction as well as the foundations of building scents for perfumery.

LOCATION

The class will be held at the Indigo Elixirs apothecary in a private residence near Woodlawn Drive, Mānoa, Honolulu. Ample street parking is available. Address & arrival info will be emailed after purchase.

INSTRUCTOR

Workshops are led by Deanna Rose Ahigian, L.Ac & Dipl.Om, the founder of Indigo Elixirs and licensed clinical herbalist. Deanna has spent over a decade immersed in botanical formulation & advanced herbal medicine, and is passionate about working with local flora to create formulations imbued with healing & beauty.

Great classes!

I’ve taken three of Deanna’s classes and the incense and body oil one is super fun. You get to learn the technical stuff but also a little about scent building. If you want an in-depth scent building class I highly suggest the perfumery class. If you want to go further into turning oils into salves then I recommend the salves workshop. Any one you choose to enroll in, you’ll have a ton of fun!

Amazing class!

This class was exactly what I've been wanting so I can make my own scents. Deanna is super knowledgeable about the subject and made the class fun and interactive. I would definitely take another class from her again!
