Safety & Dosage Considerations

Gain an understanding general dosage guidelines and proper precautions to consider when consuming medicinal plants.

Herbs for Wellness

We'll discuss 20+ medicinal plants that are widely available & accessible in the US, including common culinary herbs such as Cinnamon & Ginger as well as potent plant healers like Ginseng & Astragalus. Our areas of focus will include teas for relaxation & sleep, clarity & focus, pain relief, vitality & immunity, and acute colds & flus.

DIY Tea Blends

Bring out your inner herbalist! We'll discuss tea blending basics and how to build your own herbal tea formulation.

ABOUT THE

HERBALIST

This workshop is taught by Deanna Rose Ahigian, L.Ac & Dipl.OM, founder of Indigo Elixirs and clinical herbalist. Deanna has spent the past 15+ years immersed in the study & practice of botanical formulation, advanced herbal medicine, and holistic wellness. After learning from various herbal teachers through both an eastern and western lens, she obtained a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine to become a licensed practitioner in Hawai'i. She is passionate about sharing ancestral knowledge that can improve overall wellness.

Who is this class for?

This class is intended for those in the early days of their herbal tea journey. Maybe you're new to tea but would like to find ways to improve your health. Maybe you've loved tea for years, but want to explore the wellness benefits. Maybe you're just getting started on the path to be an herbalist. Whatever the reason, all are welcome!

Are there any requirements?

All class materials need to be accessed online through our website, so a stable internet connection is required.

No previous knowledge or experience is required, just a curiosity and desire to learn about some of the oldest and most wonderful medicines on earth.

How long will the class take to complete?

If completed in one sitting, all lessons will take about 1.5 hours to watch ~ but each is designed to be a digestible 5-10 minute module for easy learning. This class is self-paced, which means you can complete it on your own time, and there are no specific completion requirements.

What if I have questions about the class?

You are encouraged to post any questions regarding the content of the workshop in the Community Forum, which you will have access to for the duration of the class (2 years from purchase).
