Sangre de Drago is a powerful skin healer sourced from the Amazonian Sangre de Drago or Dragon’s Blood tree. The versatile liquid resin serves as a potent addition to the herbal first aid kit to staunch & repair minor abrasions.
For minor cuts & scrapes, irrigate well with water to ensure the area is clean. Dab on a layer of resin with a clean finger. If the abrasion continues to bleed, dab on a thicker layer or wipe off and reapply until staunched.
Reapply 2-3 times per day until a scab has formed, then switch to the Solve All Salve to encourage skin repair. Note that scabs may appear darker when using the the resin ~ this is normal. As with any abrasion, make sure the healing progresses and seek medical help if you notice any new or worsening redness, swelling or pain.
Sangre de Drago can be used on zits that have come to a head in order to help them resolve more quickly. Wash the area with mild soap (like the Black ‘Ōlena Cleanser) and apply a very thin layer of resin before going to bed; let dry and leave on overnight. Wash off remaining resin the the morning.
To relieve itching from bug bites, apply a very thin layer as needed.
Do not use Sangre de Drago over large or deep open wounds that have a high chance of infection, on wounds that have not been properly cleaned, or on wounds that may contain debris. Never apply to an abrasion that is showing signs of infection, such as spreading redness & heat around the wound and pus or exudate. Discontinue use immediately if appearance of area worsens.
Always follow proper wound protocol and seek professional help for large, deep or dirty wounds.

This elixir is most potent within one year of purchase. If the resin starts to dry out, you can add a few drops of high proof (90%) rubbing alcohol (or boiled or distilled water for short term use) to help re-liquify.

I go to the beach often for leisure and unfortunately will almost always get a fire ant sting/bite. I have tried most of everything there is such as over the counter and the safest prescription from a provider to aid in the serverity of the pruritus symptoms. And this Sangre de drago has been such a wonderful miracle. The itchiness subsides within minutes and by the next day inflammation improves so much. This product is amazingly efficient and well made. I can enjoy my days in the sun with relief.
I always must keep this item on hand; it works great to help seal and heal cuts and scrapes as a natural version of liquid bandage. It's also nice and small, so you can carry it with you if you like. Just a warning, the color is a little shocking (red), so when it dries, it does look like dried blood, so depending on the location, I've covered with a bandage. Have also used as an acne breakout remedy as advised - usually use at bedtime (since it dries red) and definitely helps the pimple go away faster! I panicked when I went to use this and it had separated and was not useable (the resin had hardened, but I'd gotten over a year's use I think). Even though I'd just placed an order, I quickly placed another just for THIS, so I wouldn't be without for long. Great stuff, give it a try!
