Deanna Rose is an herbalist & natural perfumer living in Manoa Valley of O’ahu, Hawai’i.
When not tending to her garden or exploring the jungle, she can usually be found whipping up elixirs or experimenting with botanical aromatics, pigments and medicines.
She is committed to creations that allow nature to work in its truest forms.
Deanna first began independently exploring the realm of natural skin care while in college, and is a self-taught perfumer. After graduating with a dual bachelor’s in Health Sciences & International Studies, she went on to study herbal medicine at the Misty Meadows School set amongst the fields and forests of the Northeast. Deanna has since continued her education in the holistic, nutritional and biological sciences both onboard an old steamship in California and once settled into the lush valleys of O’ahu. She coordinated the O’ahu Wildcrafter Certification with the Earth Medicine Institute, has guest lectured within the University of Hawai’i Medical School Alternative Medicine Program, and teaches herbal workshops at various local venues. In an effort to further the depth of her knowledge, she is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Daoist Medicine from the World Medicine Institute.
As she deepens her awareness of ancient medicines, she will continue to
craft her own out of appreciation of the flora within her reach.
